Zenso developed a pcb with embedded software for a modular dynamic energy storage and power delivery system that can be integrated in hybrid vehicles. The energy regulation system itself is based on ultracapacitor, Li-capacitor and new Li technologies to provide excellent energy storage with high power densities for optimum power delivery and energy regeneration. The developed technology assures active balancing between cells based on load redistribution opposite to the passive dissipation method as used in competing solutions. The active balancing concept increases the efficiency up to 50% and reduces the warming up of the system resulting in a longer lifetime. This novel design resulted in 2 patents W02011048087 and WO2012143422.
